I second the Pretec CFII to PC Card adapter. Even the Kingston Elite Pro (rated at 3.3v) ,which is not supposed to work with the VariOS, functions well.

Tried Lexar 80x & Kingston Elite Pro CF unsuccessfully with my Roland VariOS. (with a Type II CF to PCMIA adapter). Any other recommendations? ps - how I wish Roland just make life easier for us. I still remember my MC-5...
