Roland owns me
3 Sep 2010, 03:51Here I am thinking I'm a fringe player on this forum cos I only own a Juno-G, and then I get a call up for a festy gig in February. It's a doof gig (if you dunno what doof is, just hit your bass kick twice a second and fiddle with anything spacey over the top). It's an easy gig, the crowd take care of themselves with little white tablets - lool.
Anyway, so I have to get a concept going, but my Juno screens broke, what do I do? Oh blow me there's a Roland MC-303 on the shelf there, oh and that concoction of poles and rubber circles is a Roland V-drum kit - hurrah for not throwing anything away, or selling it, 99% of you are like that ain't you? lol
So I'm good to go, 45 minute set sorted within a month, just enough time whilst waiting for new screen, then back to the serious stuff - haha.
That damn Roland - so insipid! You owned me all the time.
So there you go, I qualify as a fair dinkum Roland user, even if it's all covered in dust.

Does a Juno manual over the head hurt more than reading it?
