Is this the Fantom G Good News! only forum??

Ahhh…it’s was predictable.

My only problem is that I can count the number of repeat G needs an update/more features posters using my hands.

It’s just not logical to assume that there is some major problem with the G if only so little people complain about it.

Seems to me that some people just like to whine (or is it... win?!? -)) ) or they are just people very hard to satisfy (and what I'm talking here about is strictly professional, ok?-)) ) so they will just keep whinning no matter what. Zephyer was pretty much right up here with some things and Artemiy also saying that "there are so many albums that were not released because of the awful limitations of the FG". Anyway... this last update made me believe that beyond all the facts discussed here the guys at Roland are running their own tests and decide what needs to be updated/improved so... all the whinning is pointless. But... for those who like to do that... go ahead -)

When I said "speaking of the devil" I was reffering to Zephyer who posted right before me as I mentioned him in my post;)
And believe me I have my 'wishes' regarding the FG such as Audio track automation or merge-ing/extracting phrases, I'm not that kind of fanboy you think I am-)) I'm an updated version of it-))
We could of course have separated threads for specific topics but like I said in the previous post in a different form, I don't see the relevance of that.
I'm not against it but not necesairly pro either.
And come on guys stop taking it so tragically when they say cancer and all that... it's not like you are a virus or something-))

Just for example….

There were 9 members who posted in our last discussion who had a complaint and that is being nice because maybe 3 were not really complaints but statements.

And this is normal for Roland Clan but most of the time the numbers are lower with less posters. And always mostly local/top members. And almost always the same exact members.

So what do you guys want Roland to think?

When you can take a set of factors, past events along with common human behavior and put them together to predict an event and the event is always the same every …single…time. One must consider the possibility that the event is not a natural and uncalculated occurrence.

Therefore, it is intentional…and so… not a product of paranoia.

Of coarse…no one can have proof of another persons intent. But that does not mean we will not all weigh the facts, factors and experiences we have accumulated.

And yes I would too call this CANCER.

Artemiy, you always say you don't like swearing. In this respect please don't mis-use cancer for these silly discussions. I've lost to many relatives from this disease and many others too

Hey...I just read through this whole thread and notice something...

What’s with picking on sRa cyclops? That line of reasoning is extremely flawed given his character and the fact that he post in every type of thread. He’s just trying to add a little laughter to all the conflicts that go on. And if you say that about sRa then the same logic would have to apply to all the normal members that come in and try to break the rant.

So…stop that…. I happen to like sRa (he’s funny) and anymore of this talk will make me angry. Don’t make me angry cyclops….you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry ….No, I’m serious.

Okay.. so to get back on track so to speak

What about Sticky Topics as mentioned earlier before the thread went side ways...?
Or would this be much too tidy an idea

i like the idea quinnx but i dont think art wants negativity at all. especially not posted as a sticky at the top of the boards.

But I can see Art starting to change already.

Not saying it’s a bad idea Quinnx…

But those sticky threads really do get unreadable after a while. For example…There is no way I’m reading through the Fantom-G open patch archive thread. It’s just overwhelmingly long. Just the size of it makes me not want to read it….

So maybe number the threads and when they get to a certain size move them to the free zone or a new zone made for the threads mentioned above. And then replace the previously moved threads with threads having the same title but the next number set. Next put a link on the first page of the new threads that lead to the corresponding previously replaced thread.

But I can think of a few reasons Art may not want to do any of this (the original or my variation).

Maybe you guys should give him a breather for a bit. He did compromise and unlock a thread. It’s only fair if you guys give something too (at least give him a break for a sec). And those are good suggestions but also decisions only an owner should make.

And as I said.. they will change Roland Clan a bit.

Whatever he decides, you guys need to understand that it effects his life…not just the forum. This is real for him and no one will have to live with the decision but him.

Sticky threads like Quinnx suggested are a very, very bad idea. Like, you want the whole forum to exist mostly in 4-5 threads with 1000 posts each? How would you navigate them? This would be absolutely silly.
