Tip: Reducing keybed noise (Fantom)

Tip: Reducing keybed noise (Fantom)

Some might say that the Fantom´s keybed is a bit noisy, due to the resonating metal back cover. If you easily like to reduce that noise you can do the following:
- buy 2mm isolations panels/blanket isolators (made of aluminium butyl), about 20 euros.
- stick them on the back cover
- or even better: unscrew the back cover of the Fantom and stick the panels inside (open only if there´s no warranty anymore!!)

Result: easy, cheap noise and vibration reduction, and IMO an even better feel :)
Disadavantage: the Fantom gets a bit heavier.

Thanks! What/where exactly do you mean by back cover? Where the jacks are in the back, or on the top where all the buttons and screen are?

Hey, well, I mean the bottom panel/base plate/ don´t know the exact term for it. opposite side of the keys - or when you turn around the fantom and the keys face down - where all the screws are :) hope you´ll understand now
