Tip: Reducing keybed noise (Fantom)
25 Feb 2026, 08:54Some might say that the Fantom´s keybed is a bit noisy, due to the resonating metal back cover. If you easily like to reduce that noise you can do the following:
- buy 2mm isolations panels/blanket isolators (made of aluminium butyl), about 20 euros.
- stick them on the back cover
- or even better: unscrew the back cover of the Fantom and stick the panels inside (open only if there´s no warranty anymore!!)
Result: easy, cheap noise and vibration reduction, and IMO an even better feel :)
Disadavantage: the Fantom gets a bit heavier.
