Could someone please let me know how to opened up the X7 and which screws to remove. I have a slight physical noise coming from the keyboard of my X7, which is getting louder and annoying. I purchased the service manual from Roland, but it does not tell you how to open up the Fantom.
Roland Fantom X-7, Super JX (JX-10), Juno-60, MKS-70, MKS-20 and a whole lot of fun playing classic rock.

The link I posted on Dec 31 2008 for Service manual is working. I just checked it.
Just scroll down the page.

For X8 I found few words in the Servise manual about which screws need to be removed to open it. It was easy.
Look at mechanical assembly. On the bootom of a page you can find words like: "remove screws F, K..." or thomething like that.

I know for the fantom x7 you go through the bottom to get to everything is it the same way for the fantom x8 or can you go through the top

Hi ! I am Mikle from Ukraine, also play Roland fantom s61. I want to ask you - in my roland cursor knobs and knobs YES-NO dont funct. normal. I have to push knobs stronger...

I want to repair they at home.

Dont you know - is the problem in knobs or in (below the knobs) kontacts, potentiometer?
