"IMPORT ALL" Button MC-808

Where is the "IMPORT ALL" button/function on the MC-808 that has been mentioned in previous posts?
In your dreams :)

I have got 770 drum samples to import - wish me luck.

I need samples to be named and identified so the renumbering trick won't work this time.

Rhythm set programming on the MC-808 is quite sophisticated though so it should be worth all the work.

LOAD not IMPORT

sorry, i was referring to the "LOAD ALL" feature. this is described on page 100 of the main user manual.

Thanks.

I am generally in favour of 'ALL' buttons like 'SAVE ALL' as well as 'LOAD ALL'. But the sample 'DELETE ALL' button is perhaps just a little bit too close to the 'DELETE' button leading to one hastily avoided but perilous moment a few weeks ago.

An 'IMPORT ALL' would have been spot on though.

That's one thing that had me shaking my head once I got into sampling.. There's a DELETE ALL, but no IMPORT ALL. Then right next to the IMPORT button, there's a blank space!!!

Other than deleting all of the cheesy samples it came preloaded with, I've never had to use DELETE ALL from that point on. And yet here I am having to import samples one by one, or dropping them into the sample folder and having to rename everything once loaded.
