Cubase transport

I'd like to use the Fantom X's tranport buttons (Play Stop Rec etc.) to remotely control the Cubase 4 transport (Play Stop Rec etc.); i.e. I don't need (better: I don't want) to sync Cubase to the Fantom's sequencer, I just need to use the Fantom's transport buttons in the same way I use my PC numeric keypad keys (key 1 to Start, key 0 to Stop etc.). Anyone who knows if that is possible? Thanks.
