Pattern question

Pattern question

I recored the "hook" which is 4 measures to a pattern. At one part in the song I want to bring in something different after just to measures of the hook. Is this possible? I can't just record over the last 2 measures because the pattern continues to play the whole 4 measures out. Any Ideas? I hope I explained it good enough.

Hello doctor, What you want to do is COPY the first 2 measures of the hook to a new pattern, add the new stuff, and step-record it into your song in the correct location

That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping there was another way to just kind of record over the last 2 measures, but if a 4 measure pattern is triggerd 2 measures ago I have to wait 2 more measures. But thankyou for the reply SPISHAK it is greatly appreciated.

Nope!

if your insterting patterns
regardless of how long the previous pattern is
the next pattern cancels the current if it is playing on the same track.
