A Screen protector - Good idea or not ?

Hi,

Just bought XT few hrs ago and I am just worry about the touch screen ........

In my country, there are lots of ppl using screen protector on their cell phone. Does anyone of you DIY a screen protector for yr V-Synth (XT) ?

I think to DIY a piece of screen protector is pretty easy but how to stick it onto the screen ? IT is something about ART. haha

Regards!

I guess you could stick a piece of seran wrap over it (haha), but anything thick enough to keep it from getting cracked is probably going to be too thick to let you use it acurately and won't be very responsive... it's actually pretty tuff- I wouldn't be too worried about it unless you have a weak shelf holding miscilaneous heavy stuff above it or rocks flying around your room all the time for some odd reason- I think you'll be OK.

Try mylar overhead transparency

I used this on my palm pilot years ago. But it required disassembling to the point of accessing the screen, which would mean opening up your V-Synth pretty severely (not too dangerous if you're careful...)

I cut the mylar to be about 1/8" larger than the exposed screen dimensions, slipped it on top and then closed everything up. It never slipped out (the case border kept it tight) and touch sensitivity didn't seem to suffer.

But I haven't tried this on my V-Synth, so do it at your own risk!
