hello,

I'm sure that you should read the manual, once again. Believe me, your new tool is a good one. I used the Polar recently : xt and polar can't be compared at the same level. I like Access gears, but the sound palette and the user interface of the v-synth make it simply...different. No particular advice to give. Look in depth your new synth and you'll be happy to use it in combination with your access. Good luck.

YOU FINISHED TWEAKING THE TI!!!??? HAHAHA... you mastered it huh? PLEASE! I suppose you'll be done with the xt in two days as well then huh? The operating side a joke... man your a joke dude. Isn't up to the job, I wouldn't be so overconfident- I doubt you have even scratched the surface of it yet (along with the TI). I wouldn't just assume that just because your TI is MADE to be completely fit with computers that the V isn't up to the job. Post a track or two up here... I want to hear how dope you tweak things.

The V-Synth XT does seem glitchy with cubase (the words pain in the arse and headache spring to mind here). Certainly not as straight forward to sequence and automate as other hardware or software synths.

Oh and btw these posts from anti_pulse sound very familiar.

i quote:

New Virus TI... lives up to its hype?
I hope it does... it looks like the perfect keyboard.... it is truly multitimbral- seperate effects blocks and all.... cant say that about SOME keyboards...(im really pissed that I found out the effects were global on the "V")... I might sell mine...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
yeah- Im having problems with sequencing the v-synth. It's just buggy, and gives me error messages, when ever I try to do program changes, the v-synth calls up patch... its really pissing me off! I hope version2 fixes these bugs besides the sequencing and non global effects deal- the v-synth is perfect. I almost an thinking of trading my V-synth for a virus kc .... but I gotta try the new os 2 first, I'm trying to give this board a chance- it just has so much potential I havent seen elsewhere... roland definetly is making some very innovative stuff that nobody is touching with a stick unless its software- Ive grown so attached to the freekin board- its a love hate thing I guess.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, gotta run, need to finish tweakin the TI dude!!!

"i only bought it because my virus ti was finished being tweaked with!!!!!" - before you start calling people idiots, learn proper grammar and english sentence structure- you said it was finished being tweaked with. And what does being American have to do with shit? You with your fuckin' cliche "american idiot" remarks. If you think that just because a person was born in a certain region or in a certain culture it makes tham an idiot, then I would just simply have to say that you are an ignorant biggot. I am not pc person by any means- so with that said- learn how to write in Enlish properly while you are not making very clear statements before you run your fucking mouth. And yes the multitimbral part of things does suck right now- But what the fuck does that have to do with anything- that isn't really a matter of user interface. So you can quit quit trying to be the devils advocate creamer.

Point taken but maybe you should look at your own english and grammar before criticising others.

I'm sure perfectiondj's 'rant' about the V-Synth XT was purely out of frustration and to have some one bitch back at him straight away like that, wasn't the reply he or any other person needed to hear.
I agree his english and grammar may not be up to standard but did you really expect him not to come back at you after the way you talked down to him.

So where are you from perfectiondj? Your profile states last tracking was in the US ... but that says nothing about your nationality. Your slang on the other hand sounds decidedly American to me ... yo!

I can't believe everything is so smooth with the TI either. One glance at the Access mailing list and you can tell that the TI control component is FAR from perfect. I sold my Virusb last November to fund a TI, but I've had second thoughts since then.

And honestly, could the VSynth be any easier to use?

I have no problem admiting that I miss understood his post... But really how are you going to diss on the V and say it's not up to par when his TI was recalled cause they haven't gotten the system up to par? That's a little silly... I have no problem admiting I was a little abrasive for having missunderstood him in the first post, but when you start calling people idiots because of there race or culture- well... that's where the line is crossed with me- especially considering that his profile says he is here in the States. If we are such a bunch of idiots, then get the f*ck out... otherwise warm welcomes and best of luck and enjoy your stay. I'm sorry, but frustration doesn't make excuses for racism or nationalism in my books- no exception, and that's it. It's not even debatable- I'm sick of that attitude. Anyhow, I am willing to bite the bullet and apologize. I'm sorry buddy. Now that things are gravy...
I agree that there are alot of things to be desired... but I have found the problem with the control changes to be with Cubase 2.2- I would get the mentioned errors (look where I am quoted above). But since upgrading to Cubase sx3 as well as upgrading the V to 2, it seems that most of my problems with the program control bugs have gone away. And this is indeed a dead horse, but man, if Roland would give the option to save performance setups, we really wouldn't have to mess with the sequencer except for programing and recording midi. It would be nice to access the other channels from the board as well... and this is asking too much right here I know- but it would be awesome if the effects weren't global heh??? Personally considering the potential that the board had/has, I just couldn't sell it. I figure that if Moog can sell a monophonic analog for 3-4k then why not get to work with this crazy machine right... well it's been worth every penny spent.... so I don't know perfectiondj, but you might want to give it a chance it's a pretty dope board- especially for DnB production. I want a TI REALLY bad, but after the repeated post pone dates and a recall, I might just go with Virus C or a Novation Supernova...

I'm going for a 'C'. The TI is a bit steep for me atm and the C seems pretty rock solid from what i have heard. Just wanna stop all this messing about and start making sweet music.

*hugs anti_pulse*

Re: hi im new here but ive........

13 Nov 2005, 18:53
That's what I'm thinking about the 'C' as well, especially for cubase users... the new 3.1 upgrade has a lot of functionality for hardware synth and effects module intigration that people are paying top dollar for from the TI... But at the same time I thought I remebered stienberg saying something along the lines of hardware having to have the ability to support this function. But I'm sure anything recent is compatible...

Dope, I was hopin' you'd show back up man. Don't mind me. I'm just a dick sometimes I guess, sorry ab out all that shit. Anyways... if you got any questions let us know. Maybe you can help me with programming dnb drums too... I can get it down, but I end up making everything sound like mutilated noise or industrial... I aim for the acucrack style... I like alot of technical itch style of programming too, but it seems like all I can do ame breaks and variations of it... I'll post up a link to a couple of breaks for you to check out, I want to see what I'm doing wrong.
