are the XT patches compatible with V?

Of course they are, the V just needs to run OS 2.0. The engines are totally identical.

so
the patches that come with XT
are they the same as the ones that come with the keyboard?
or are there some different ones?

Hi Cromio,
All of the V-Synth section patches in the XT are identical. However, the XT comes with VC-1 (D50) and VC-2 Vocal Designer (vocoder etc.) built in. So a V-Synth with the cards would have the same sounds as the XT, assuming OS 2.

EJ2 is right. The main engines in V and XT with OS 2.0 have identical wave and patch sets, as do the VC-1/2.
