MIDI-USB cable issue
7 Apr 2026, 07:41I'm trying to use a MIDI-to-USB cable with Linux, as the Juno-G isn't recognized as a USB device natively on Linux and installing the official drivers on Windows 11 is quite tricky.
The cable works and the keyboard sends messages, but there is something wrong with the Note ON/OFF commands: some notes "freeze" (stuck notes), polyphony feels limited, and other issues occur. Interestingly, when I switch to a Performance that uses two patches on different channels, it works fine. However, using the Juno-G as a controller by always sending two channels isn't ideal and feels like a "hack."
I'm not sure why this happens when I use the MIDI-to-USB cable in Patch Mode (single channel). If anyone understands what is going on or how to solve this, I would be very grateful.
