How to make saved patch names visible when selecting favourites?
18 Oct 2024, 09:42Hello JD-Xi folks,
I'm hoping that one of you may be able to help me to solve a minor irritation that I have as yet, after 6 years of ownership, been unable to fix.
I use the JD-Xi in a live rig (sounds are played from a master keyboard) and I have saved a number of patches into song setlists in Banks E&F for the various gigs that I do. I have also mapped those setlists to the favourites buttons, so it's a simple matter when playing live to select the next button along from the one that is flashing to choose the next song.
The minor irritation is that when I tap a favourites button, the name of the song does not flash up on the LED screen - what I typically see is 1-1 in the top half, and the generic patch name (e.g. Soft Pad 1) in the bottom half.
So I'm wondering if anyone has a solution (or setting I could change) to solve this?
I know I can see the song name if I then use the Program (Pattern) +/- buttons to toggle backwards and forwards from the selected favourite, but when navigating quickly through the transitions from one song to the next, the fewer buttons I need to press (I'm using a 3 board rig so have other changes to make on those boards as well) the better.
Not the end of the world if there isn't a solution, but I thought I should ask the question here!
Many thanks,
Michael
