Problem: Logic is Seen as Mainstage - DAW Control

Problem: Logic is Seen as Mainstage - DAW Control

5 Feb 2022, 21:32
For some reason, when I fire up Logic, and hit the DAW button on the Fantom, it believes it's connected to Mainstage.

I've reinstalled the drivers and the profile but still, the Fantom thinks it's connected to Mainstage, not Logic.

Live works, and so does Mainstage, actually. My Fantom just doesn't recognize Logic anymore.

It did work. And I believe it was pre-V3.00...but I can't actually say it's due to the firmware update.

Anyone have this issue before?

Is it possible to downgrade firmware to test?

Bump...

Please let me know if your Fantom V3 and Logic are still playing nicely...

I have not been able to figure out why Logic is no longer recognized as the DAW connected to the Fantom.

Thanks!

I don't have MainStage loaded into my iMac. I do have the newest version of LogicPro. The Fantom does not recognize that the computer is connected when I hit the DAW CTRL button. Everything on the LogicPro program seems to work, I just can't control it from the Fantom. I am connected to the M1 iMac via USB cable. This is a know problem that Roland is working on.

Thanks for the reply. The sad thing is, it did work a while back. I'm not sure when it stopped working.

I'm using an Intel Mac on Big Sur.

Logic only works with fantom daw remote if you have switched on Rosetta and do not have Mainstage Driver installed. So bad.

I did not catch that, it's either one, or the other?

It's two things: Logic Pro X 10.7.2 and having the Mainstage profile loaded.

I tried the Fantom on my laptop which Logic was still at 10.7.1 and having both the DAW driver and the Mainstage profile loaded - no problems.

It's 10.7.2 that's the issue, not the Fantom.

I uninstalled the Mainstage profile from my desktop and the Fantom connected to Logic 10.7.2 with no issues.
