Fantom 7 UK Stock

I can't say about UK stock in particular, but supply chain issues continue to thwart everyone trying to make and sell products. It only takes a delay on one electronic component (for example) to halt manufacturing, and could take months to get those parts. That part could be as simple as a $2 power supply chip.

I design electronics for a living, and I have spent the last year+ redesigning circuit boards to compensate for parts we can't get such as $2 power supply chips, but also microprocessors and even simple diodes. Some of these are just BOM changes (equivalent parts that fit the same PCB), but some have required making new PCBs and porting software. Many of the parts have to come from brokers at insane prices. A similar issue exists for other types of parts (mechanical parts, etc.) as well. Every colleague I talk to is having to do the same thing.

It just takes patience. Not what you want to hear of course. When I bought my Fantom 8 earlier this year, from the day I placed my order, I had to wait 4 months before it shipped. When it arrived, it had a keyboard issue which was covered under warranty. Thankfully they still had stock and I was able to get a replacement immediately. But now I see no stock on hand again (this is with Sweetwater in the USA). These delays aren't going to go away any time soon.

Well that was short lived happiness. The vendor has delivered the 07 as opposed to the 7. Back on the waiting list. :(

Also in the Netherlands it seems to be still a problem in delivering the Fantom 7. I'm now waiting for more than 2 months. The Fantom 6 and 8 are sometimes available. Same situation on the Germain sites.

The problem I have is the lack of (no) communication on forecast. I don't know if it's Roland or my supplier or both. Does anybody know what the situation is at Roland now on missing parts or missing staff?

Try Andertons Music UK and Gear4Music UK. Both these distributors have stock of Fantom 7 keyboards in their UK warehouses ready and available to be shipped. You can check their websites or even better still - just give them a call. All items can be ordered online.

Last week received the my Fantom. Finally after 4 months. As far as I can see no stock problems anymore here in NL.
