So far, the only official update is 1.01, that implements some features and corrects some bugs of the original version 1.00

An SMF Player function has been added.
An official integration function for Ableton Live has been added.
[ Functionality Improvements ]
[XY PAD] has been added to the respective MFX, IFX, and TFX ZOOM EDIT screens.
A [PARAM] button has been added to the ZONE VIEW screen.
Sequencer patterns can now be set to a maximum length of 64 measures.
The beat settings that can be used with the sequencer have been expanded.
The operability of the STANDBY screen during sampling has been improved.
The screen display during TR-REC has been improved.
The level meter display on the MIXER screen has been improved.
Operational stability when importing wave expansions has been improved.
Operational stability when using the automation function with the sequencer has been improved.
Operational stability when manipulating sliders and knobs has been improved.
Operational stability when carrying out sampling has been improved.
[ Bug Fixes ]
Minor bugs were fixed.

Interesting updates, they still haven't made the board class complaint or is Roland not interested in making it class complaint?

Or maybe there's something in the architecture that makes it difficult to implement.

VERY few keyboards are class compliant for audio over USB. And most (perhaps all) of the ones that are are built on Linux.

Perhaps, but it shouldn't stop them for doing so. Of course, the smaller devices like MC-101/707, the new AIRA compact stuff are simpler in design, but I think this gives the boards more usability points. It's a great board, but it could be better ya'know?

FWIW, adding that class compliance to the Yamaha MX apparently required a hardware change, it's one of the few differences between the original version and the "V2."

I have v1.02 too and so far, I have not had any issues...
