arpeggiator not working while on mid/usb sync mode (SOLVED)

Got my second hand Gaia few days ago, just like new, and it's a neat little machine.
Succeed to patch the 1.04, sync it with live and even midi thru a monotribe on it, awesome.
But i have a problem and can't find answer nowhere:
whenever i set midi sync, or USB sync mode, the arpeggio doesn't make sound anymore. I click "arpeggio" the light comes up, but no sound out. i go back to patch or system sync, everything is fine...
i did factory reset, no luck.
Anyone experienced that? any suggestion?
