It is a mostly complete ZEN-Core editor, just not a librarian.

Can't say I use it myself (as don't own an ipad and no plans on getting one), but what of the engine have you found missing?

Nothing missing as an editor, even a more features coming. It can control tone, scene, system, etc., settings.

It is just not a librarian, which is not something currently possible with either MDP2 or the Jupe tones.

For a librarian, this web midi based site does manage Jupe scenes: https://midi.amitszone.com/JUPITER/ You need a browser that supports web midi - maybe Chrome, not Safari.

As an aside, because as noted, I don't own an Ipad myself, I've been trying to suss out how exactly Zen handles XV-5080 Structs that utilize dual oscs running into dual filters set in serial. The best I've been able to make out is that when using the Ring Mod struct one can manage to get a single osc running through a dual filter set in serial, but I've failed to sort out a means of getting two Osc (or an equal) WITHOUT using both partial parings. YET, the XV-5080 Roland Cloud manual itself states that the XV-5080 instrument can in fact still run structures of this sort which I presume to mean that the Jupiter X/Xm also is able to do such when set to
XV-5080 mimicking..... all of which would seem to point to the Zen engine can do something like this (all be it possibly through some roundabout means).

Any assistance you might be able to offer on sussing this out would be appreciated.

short answer - it doesn't

The original XV-5080 has multiple routing options between two partials (p 131 of XV5080 owners manual) - types 1-10. There are six different right structures. Several structures allow using both TVAs or TVFs in the signal chain.

I have not used the SV-5080 cloud version, so I do not know how faithfully this is implemented.

ZEN-Core has much simpler routing options, best shown on p 20 of the FANTOM parameter guide. (For some reason, not included in the Jupe manuals.) There is one ring mod structure, two xmod structures, but none that allow a signal to pass both partial TVFs or TVAs.

ZEN-Core includes much of the XV-5080 capability, and adds in several areas, but for some reason the more complex XV-5080 routing structures were not included.

Nope. Roland have provided a complete sysex implementation on the Jupes, not on the Fantoms. The Jupes also have a transmit edit setting, which transmit sysex as edits are made on the keyboard.
