Jupiter X Additional Scenes
19 Jul 2020, 17:41These files are the two banks of Scenes provided in the Jupiter X but not in the Xm. They are originally in banks 1 and 2. Since these are occupied in the Xm, they have been remapped to banks 10 and 11 - as indicated in each individual file title.
If you have just started with your Xm, an alternate approach is to load the factory X backup, which would overwrite any edited tones or scenes.
You need an application to play back the .syx or .mid files into your Jupiter Xm.
I use the Snoise Sysex Librarian for Mac for both record and playback.
I recommend a complete backup of your board prior to loading these. They work properly with Sysex Librarian, but I have not tested other programs.
A search online shows the following programs for .syx files
Mac:
Snoise Sysex Librarian
Sysex
Windows
Cakewalk Sonar X3
Dumpster
WinSysEx
syx2midi
The Scenes are also provided in .mid format. I have not explored what apps might successfully send these to the Jupiter Xm. I do know that Logic Pro will seem to load them, but does not send them.
