I will eat a broom, if the Fantom ever gets a full multi-sampling engine like the Fantom G.

Careful ... some of us have a long memory. I fully intend to hold you to this promise, lol.

Fantom will meet the same fate as the FA Series. They probably put the same shitty sampler inside

As this has devolved into a wish list again, I'll contribute:

Multiple arpeggiators.

Some sort of preset system for FX.

FX routing.

We're likely to see multi-sampling in a coming update. It's not been guaranteed, but Roland has openly noted that it's one of the most requested features.

There has been talk of a V-EPiano engine and additional SuperNatural Acoustic engines being added. I think there is little hope of V-Drum technology happening.

Sequencer improvements of various kinds are almost certain.

.
Do you think, There is a chance to have an update before summer ?
We could definitely use some sequencer improvements! My workflow with the current new Fantom sequencer leaves so much to be desired that I'm using my old Fantom X sequencer instead and searching for various workarounds. If they simply added a way to copy and append patterns that would be a big improvement! I'd also like longer pattern lengths...like the Akai MPC Live (now that's an awesome sequencer!).

1. Normal routing of the Analogue Filter
2. Copy Scenes and Patches
3. Better UI for searching sounds instead of having to specify a patch group
4. Patch categorise and Scene Categorise

This would be a great addition. With all the EXZs loaded, and more on the way, etc... I’m wondering if we will run into user hard drive space issues? Does anyone know what the user HD size is on the Fantom G... compared to the Fantom HD ?

The ability to function as an Aira link master! Thank you. That is essential to lessen the live cable spaghetti.
I think that has been added with 1.6

I’d like to see some decent guitar sounds. The fantom guitars are very poor compared to the Yamaha Genos.

Haven't used mine for too long yet but so far these stand out:
- Additional SN-AP customization - I miss the SN pianos from the 700NX. I have a v-piano sound set up pretty decently but it still feels like something is missing.
- Decent acoustic drum sounds would be nice; SN drums from the integra?

I'm impressed overall by the quality of the samples, effects and DA conversion offered by this unit. I've matched it in my studio against my Prism converters and they compare favorably!
Like many others have posted, linear sequencing to take advantage of this beautiful sound set for classical compositions, and also the ability merge patterns. Triggering a pattern also needs more granularity; Smallest trigger should be beat instead of measure. And last but not least, audio tracks.

I would love to have a function that links the DAW Control to the internal sequencer.
So that when you hit play or rec on the fantom to control your Daw the internal sequencer starts simultaneously.
Would be nice for playin live and also for recording in the Studio.
Also a Pad Mode to trigger Live Loops in Logic 10.5 would be fantastic.
Cheers

Hmmm ... it almost sounds like you don't know how MIDI works, or how to sync once device to another via MIDI.

Am I missing something?

Hey,
I tihnk i understand Midi in general but I could refresh my midi skills...
Yes you can sync the Fantom to Logic but I noticed some Workflow problems:
For example when I use the Fantom in DAW Control mode and its also synced with Logic so that they play simultaneously there is this issue:
I record a sequence from the Fantom and play it back in Logic, I hear it double(the recording from Logic and the Fantom sequence)
I have to change the midi settings so that I just hear the Logic Playback.
This is a pain in the ass in a Song writing process.
In my opinion it would be much more comfortable if you could activate a link button in the DAW Control Mode to sync it to the internal Sequencer.
Would make it faster and more convenient for me.
I hope that makes sense...
cheers

I think only slave mode was added.

If I'm wrong, please tell me where to activate the Fantom's master thingy, as I cannot find anything related to it.

I'm referring to the ability where Fantom could accept sound data from, say, JD-Xa or Jupiter Xm straight into it via a USB cable (thus eliminating the need of an MX-1 that's been showing some effects of aging lately...)
