Start a sequence group from the pads

Start a sequence group from the pads

Hi,
I own a Fantom 8 since a couple of weeks (still on V1.04 waiting for the new V1.50 that will be released in these days).

I'd like to know if some of you figure out how to start a sequence group from the pads. I think that this can helps a lot in live performance.

Another question that I have on the sequence groups is if you can set/force the length of the group to be a certain numbers of measure.
What happen now is that, if the length of the group is 8 measures and you start a new group in the middle (i.e. on measure 5) the loop will be interrupted and, instead to go ahead with measure 6 and 7 of the first group, it starts the new group soon.

In the new beta (and thus also likely in V1.5) there's a new pad mode that allows you to use the pads to launch entire rows from the sequencer. It's not of course the same as groups, but still good for live playing.

Great. I'm waiting for the official 1.5!
I think that the row of the sequence it's more than enough.

There also appears to be a mode where you can start/stop multiple/individual patterns from the pads ... where you shift focus to what "grid" of 4x4 patterns you want to control via the arrow keys. I got to play with it a bit at NAMM, but have not had a chance to experiment on my Fantom-7 yet.

This is kind of a big deal. Nothing as cool/useful as this exists on the Montage, Kronos or any other workstation, AFAIK.
