Acoustic sounds
9 Sep 2019, 06:28There is no super natural acoustic sounds in the fantom
This probably disqualifies the fantom for having a drawbar mode..
They have chosen to use the acoustic sounds from the Roland AX edge keytar..
Personally i found this the reason not to buy the keytar..
The rass and sax sounds for example where very underwhelming.
Being basic pcm sounds quickly makes them sound very unnatural..
This is nothing a good sample can hide
Not even a good player..
Which makes me again wonder why on earth would they when they finally bring a high end workstation to the market, take one step back where it comes to Acoustic instruments (and organs)?
Its also not to be expected that they will bring them later, as they require a whole lot of flash memmory, and there is not to much free of that anyway..
For the rest this instrument is brilliant, it has a great piano engine and maybe even a better synth engine... but as a workhorse it needs also acoustic sounds of high quallity on board.
