Thanks, I also found it, but I have another problem.Through the midi connector to connect the synthesizer to the computer.Linux Ubuntu does not see this synthesizer at all. Then I turned on the computer on Windows 7.Windows 7 showed that there is a connection with this synthesizer.Well, then I did not have any access.I did not understand. Is there any special driver needed there?I'm afraid I'll buy these updates and then I won't be able to download them into the synthesizer. Thanks!

Frankly speaking, with the free Ranzee's JD-Xi editor, it is very easy to make your own sound patches. The PCM library is vast, however, you can also go all the way and create sounds using only sound wave's, which makes the JD-Xi a very classic sounding synth. Not to mention that the editor literally allows you to edit every aspect of the JD-Xi synth engine. It is just incredible how much is packed into this little baby.

Small correction:
the editor was written by me, Ranzee did the awesome tutorial videos, we are not the same person, in fact we live in totally different parts of the world, Ranzee is in Australia, I'm in Europe. ;)

If you set the JD-Xi MIDI 'USB Drv' setting to 'GENERIC' Ubuntu will see your JD-Xi via USB connection just fine.

you find the setting in the JD-Xi Menu:
Menu > System > MIDI: USB Drv

Oh ok, sorry, I thought it is just a youtube nickname. The editor is super awesome anyways :)

Hi,

Can you give me some info on the practicalities of installing and using the Ultimate patches set before I purchase these.

I believe the JD-xi can store:-

4 x Preset Banks: A, B, C and D @ 64 each =256 total
4 x User Banks: E, F, G and H @ 64 each = 256 total

But none of these can be used to load Extra Banks in?

So, you must be loading the Ultimate Patches in the Extra Banks sets S - Z i.e. 8 banks of 64 = 512.

You say there are 720 patches in the set. How have you loaded them or do you just use some of them? Can you pick which particular ones you want to use?

Presumably you have deleted or not downloaded/used the various Axial additional sets? Are the Ultimate patches so good that you don't want/need the full axial sets which use the 4 tracks, where as, I believe the Ultimate patches mainly use just the Digital channel?

When you loaded in the Ultimate patches did you have problems loading them in in batches of 64 to match the Jd-xi's per bank capacity?

Can you clarify?
