Update: I have tested the features random patch generator it is super cool! As it can be MIDI tempo synchronized, I created a drum loop and the analog patch was synched with the drums, resulting in interesting musical pieces. Some was much close to Pink Floyd's On The Run song!
I'm glad you like it!
What you are doing with it sounds very interesting, did you record anything that you would be willing to share with us so we can hear it?
Hi baz55, I did another video demo with your JDXI Manager, generating and tweaking random patches, playing with the analog part and drums parts only. Here is the link of this video on Youtube:

That's a great video, I like how you tweak the random sounds to make them musically pleasing!

Came to Report a workaround for the DPI Scaling bug, but you fixed it.

Also, I made some icons for the editor. The file is attached.

This is now implemented in version 0.28, you can use the mouse wheel to select PCM Waves in the Digital Synth parts and the Drums part, without having to open the pulldown menu.

Also I have implemented copy and paste between partials in the Digital Synth (even between Digital Synth 1 and 2), see the following screenshot:

You can find this and more in the latest release 0.28 that's available now:

See the release notes for a list of changes:

Enjoy!

3. (Similar to 2 above): allow partials to be copied/moved between Digital Synth 1 and 2.
This is now implemented in the latest release.

Great work!
Really easy interface to work with and fantastic to see that you're still developing it.

I haven't seen any mention but is there any chance of an Android tablet version or does that not support midi?

Cheers,

ED

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you like the editor.
Android tablet support is very unlikely, I don't even own an Android tablet myself, but you could use a Windows tablet (with Intel CPU) instead.

Ah, that's a pity but I understand.

Hey guys, I realize this may be a stupid question but I'm going to ask it anyway: this won't work with the Gaia SH-01, right?

Another question: is this open source and if so (or heck, even if not, for curiosities sake...) is the protocol (MIDI?) implementation similar in the Gaia vs the JD-Xi? I mean would it take a lot of work if, say, a developer like myself wanted to implement a new keyboard or make a separate "Gaia Manager" app from a fork?

No, it's tailor-made for the JD-Xi.
is this open source
No.

The JDXi Manager is written specifically for the JD-Xi, converting it to a different synth (while of course not impossible) is not practical, it would be far easier and quicker for you to write a Ctrlr Panel for the Gaia than to try figure out and adapt my code for the Gaia. See: http://ctrlr.org/

Hi baz55,
in digital sinth I can change the parameters of the 3 parts at the same time? For example, changing the waveform and the ADSR of the 3 parts at the same time?

Not currently, it's not so trivial to implement, but I might add that at some point.

What you can do since version 0.28 is create one partial, then copy and paste it to the second (and third) partial and then modify the parameters you want to be different on each partial.

You can either use the menu option Edit>Copy and then Edit>Paste, or simply by pressing the Ctrl-C keys to copy the current partial, then switch to the destination partial and then press Ctrl-V to paste.
