Re: Sonar Cakewalk INS file available
30 Jan 2015, 14:09This very forum has an attach file feature, does it not? That, to me, would be the most obvious and sensible option, but that's just me...

Cakewalk has never been forthcoming about officially documenting how to create instrument definition files, but if one looks at the master, one can pretty easily sort out what's required and in what format.at the risk of sounding stoopid...
What does the .ins file allow you to do in combination with the Sonar app?

Willem H wrote:Hi Willem. Thank you. Your effort is very much appreciated. I am happy to say that your .ins files do generally work well except for the DrumKit.ins file which doesn't really function as it should. I wish I knew how to create an instrument definition file as I would really like to help to improve it. but thanks all the same. Btw, has anyone got a suggestion as to how to fine tune the .ins files? I went to do a search, but I can't find a really good guide to help. Cheers!Hi all ,
