Some new sounds for the FA...

Some new sounds for the FA...

Some new (free) sounds for the FA series available to download at http://www.jp-80.com. The sounds were created on the Integra but fully importable for the FA - hope you enjoy these sounds created by Espanol here at Roland Clan; thank you for sharing sir! :)

I hope from now people will be encouraged to share their own sounds and at the time mentioned in a post the following message:

Here I attached a website where it has begun to store sounds for FA: http://www.jp-80.com/fa/fa.html
PauloF's version of the ubiquitous 'Jump' (Van Halen) brass sound originally for the Integra-7 but should also work on the FA-06/08.

It would be interesting that we can all share our personal sounds through this website, shipping your sounds to the website administrator: admin@jp-80.com

This is great! Will try to download the sounds when I get home in a few days.

But do I understand it correctly that you have to export this sounds with an INTEGRA-7? (That its the only way to export single sounds.)

Can you also import PCMS sounds exported from INTEGRA-7? Shouldn't they also be compatible?

Not necessarily - the Integra has many more PCMS waveforms than the FA so therefore if it is a common waveform it will work Integra > FA but if it is not common, then it won't

How about compatibility between the XV-series and FA? :-)
Maybe they are compatible besides the fx?

But if so, I'm guessing that the export format, from say XV-5080, is not readable for FA?

Just trying to find ways to new sounds.. :-)

IMO you cannot really get new sounds if they don't contain new waveforms (samples). Exporting sounds from the XV series to the FA doesn't provide really new sounds, because all the XV waveforms are already part of the FA, and it's just a matter of editing to get the same 'adapted' sounds. The only way to get really different sounds are the EXP expansions, at least as far as acoustic sounds are concerned. For electronic sounds, it's more a matter of creative editing of course.

I'm all into "synth sounds" not sampled instrument sounds. So for me it can be very inspiring with new patches.

When I recently looked into PCMS editing and all the possibilities there. Woaw, you can make crazy cool patches controlling TVA, TVF, pitch or pan with 16 step LFO. In my ears.. :-)

So it would be nice to see other people, who have more time, what they could have come up with.

This is definitely the way forward with keyboards, the ability to create and share user sounds, loops grooves and whatever else, and supported with a strong knowledge base from manufacturers with an expanding library of soundpools. I know there's always been that with software and computer based music, but its the first time I can remember that a manufacturer has "given away" its back catalogue of sounds?. The supernatural sounds and kits are knockout to my ears, and the built in articulation make playing them a joy. Unfortunately I cant devote a great deal of time to my fa-06 because of my job, but everytime I'm on it I have to be peeled off it, its such an addictive keyboard.

Anyone concerned about the issue, because at the time there was a discussion about the sounds posted on the website of Axial, which commented that all that were published in Axial PCM patches were not new SuperNatural sounds were published.

http://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=49061

So the discussion, or so focused on that if it was helpful to download Web Axial sounds compared to that already contains the FA, since the sounds to download the Integra-7 Axial Web are sounds that already contains the FA.

To which I said the following: The first thing to differentiate in Axial is that there are two types of sounds Axial admitted to the FA. 1 Type: Expansions (EXP) with new forms of PCM wave sounds and 2. Type: Patches PCM of the INTEGRA-7 to import tones for FA, which are made with the tones that already contains the FA.

I think, however, that the FA is a great synth with a great capacity for synthesis editing in which you can create endless varieties of very different sounds and be able to get those sounds that interest you and want to create and imagine, with lots of editing and modification options you have on the FA.

This I think should be considered the instrument well and dedicate many hours to get him to elaborate on the FA full advantage and performance.

Question of the time I think you have to go through the FA ......................
