I would really appreciate any help on this problem I am having.


When hooked up via midi, via my Fantom X, the user bank works as expected on the JV1010. I get the green midi light plus all patches work correctly and the patch number changes with the Fantom X . I go from user to patch banks A,B,C,D,E and all work fine.

The problem starts when I use the category search. Especially when selecting the SYNTH/PAD category the JV1010 stops responding to midi. I have to turn the dial until I get to the empty wave expansion slot and then midi starts working again.

Other times I will try the other categories which work via midi but the patch selected is not in the category I have selected. Also the patch number doesn't increase/decrease with the midi control. I have owned JV1010s in the past and never seen this.

I have also tried different midi cables and a different synth with no luck.

I used the same setup with my JV1080 with no problems.

Anyone got any ideas?
