JP50 spare power supply question

JP50 spare power supply question

24 Mar 2014, 12:25
I want a spare power supply for my JP50 but I already have a spare power supply from when I had a Juno G

The JP50 spec says the output is 9v and draws 800ma - the Juno G power supply is 9v and is 1.2a so I should be OK on that point .. my question is are the polarities the same on the JP50 and the Juno G ?

Bit of a shot in the dark question but hopefully someone may know

Many thanks

Everything I've read points to them both using the exact same power supply- the PSB 1U.

At least that's the one that came with my Jupiter 50 and works fine, and it seems it is sold with and for the Juno G.

It being the same supply, they have the same polarity- +-(.--

I checked on the pictures online of both supplies to be sure. I'm planning on buying a few of them just in case since it's not as easily replaced as my other keyboards standard cable.

Just checked my power supply for the JP50 and its a PSA and not a PSB -1U - I have ordered 2 off Amazon and also a 9v DC extension lead as I use my JP50 on the top tier of my rig and the equivalent adaptor may not reach.

Hi,
Can someone with a Roland Jupiter 50 please verify the power supply model number? I believe the PSB-1U is now the PSB-120, but not sure if that what the Jupiter 50 uses.
Thanks.

My JP-50 came with a PSB-1U power supply.

I purchased it new (in sealed box) from Guitar Center on July 10, 2012.

Thanks. I talked to a few music stores and the consensus is the replacement power supply for the JP50 would be the PSB-120 (replaced the PSB-1U). I just ordered the JP50 from Sweetwater and had them throw in an extra PSB-120.
