Roland FA-08 keybed the same as RD-800?
2 Mar 2014, 08:56I recently went into my local music store to check out the Roland FA-08. I am torn between getting the FA-08 with an external sequencer;-(,( see my other post!) and the Yamaha MOXF8.
As is nearly always the case when I want to try out new hardware they don't have a demo model for me to try but what they did have was the new Roland RD-800. I sat there for a good hour playing what I can only describe as a wonderfully, beautiful piano. The sounds are sheer class topped off with amazing effects.
The keybed is absolutely beautiful to play and with a price tag of £1700 I think it's a real steal. Anyway the young chap who works in the store assured me the keybed in the RD-800 is in the FA-08! Please someone tell me this is true as I can't really believe this as the FA-08 is £1300 against £1700 for the RD-800.
