Integra 7

Librarian

Hi !

Anyone having used the librarian for mac ?....I wonder how I get access
to all the sounds from the Integra, so I can watch them in the librarian programme
and make edits etc. ?

Thanks in advance for help.

You can watch and (re-)order Studio Sets and Tones in the librarian, but not make edits (it's a librarian, not an editor...). You need to backup the content of your I7 on a USB-stick (Menu/Utility/Backup) since the librarian can't read anything directly from I7. This will create a folder ROLAND with a subfolder BACKUP and a SVD file in it (in the backup process you will have to set a name, it will be the name of the SVD file). Put the USB stick into your computer, open the INTEGRA-7 Librarian, chose "File/Import/SVD file" and then navigate to your SVD file on the USB stick. After importing you see your file with all Studio Sets and Tones in different colors. In the preferences of the librarian you will find the manual explaining the few things you can do with the program.

My librarian won't import the backup file ! It just does nothing. I can import the files I have dowloaded from Axial, but not the Integra backup file.... Any ideas ?

Catarsis, please describe how you try to import your backup file into the Librarian. What is the path to the file and its full name? What is its size? Can you navigate to the file by selecting "File / Import / SVD File" in the Librarian? If yes, what happens if you select your file and click on "Open"? Thank you, Hobbit

Hi !
I backup the library of user sounds and studio sets with Integra (menu-utility-backup) to the USB stick
I get a folder ROLAND/BACKUP and inside this is a SVD file with size 819KB.

I run the Integra 7 librarian app, select FILE-IMPORT-SVD and clickon the SVD file I have and then NOTHING HAPPENS !

When I do th same with any other SVD file (like ones downloaded from ROland Axial), it will import the soundlist into librarian app, but not from the SVD file made by backing up Integra.

OK - it will import the Integra backup SVD, if it has only a few user sounds !

If you have all the user sound slots and user Studio set slot full, it will not import it to librarian! With about 200 user sounds it work, but with all the slots busy, the lbrarian will not import it. Must be some programming mistake.

Ok, nothing to say about the procedure.

As for the number of the user sounds I can't reproduce what you described: Even with all user banks (Studio Sets, SN- and PCM-Tones as well as all Drums) filled with my own sounds everything works fine. And I would be surprised if the number of the user sounds would make any difference. "Empty" user sounds (INIT TONE) are not really empty in the sense of less data (the size of the backup file doesn't depend of the number of user sounds - it's different for the export file). They are user sounds like all the others, only that all their parameters are set to the default values defined by Roland.

Really very strange...
