BACKUP Folder
6 Jul 2013, 21:50Hi all.
How does the INTEGRA-7 use this folder?
I've noticed that files in this folder won't allow patch selection for importing, and that the mini display on the right of the screen that shows how many patches, performances etc are available, shows zero in all categories. I haven't tested them for restoration of the unit, but that doesn't really make sense to me anyway because if they're, say, just a bunch of patches (like SLP), it hardly makes sense that these files could be used as a basis for the restore function.
I renamed the SL, SLP and EAS files with more recognisable titles, and the INTEGRA-7 automatically renamed the BACKUP folder contents with a similar or the same prefix for all of them. I think it's the same one/s the original files used. Obviously I don't want to mess with Roland's naming scheme so I'm not seeking to override the new suffixes (although if I can do this safely, I will, as the names become truncated and therefore more cryptic again). Is it OK to rename them and is there a character limit?
I had no luck with the manual; I could find no discussion of the folder, and managed only one (irrelevant) result from searching here. Probably missing something obvious as nobody else seems to have had any questions about this.
Thank you for your time, Rollies.
