seamless patch change... yeah right!

This is the most infuriating thing, this Fantom of mine.

I have assigned my pads to play samples of backing tracks so I can play along live.

I have then assigned Favorite bank 1 with a bunch of sounds for the song and set up assignable pedal 1 to step through them. on at least two of the sound transitions as I step through my patches, the damn thing silences the sample thats playing while I press the pedal.

What this means is that I can't install the backing tracks as samples and play along where I have a song that needs 7 patch changes throughout the song, because the audience WILL notice the glitch when the rest of the band briefly stops playing.

And I have no idea why.

So I have to now have another device that plays the backings independent of the Fantom.

I don't use the Fantom in this way so my seamless switching is, well, seamless. I have noticed RPS phrases over changes can pop when they reset when a live set change is made. BTW do you have Control Remain on? I don't know that will help as the samples my be stopping as when you switch live sets the fantom thinks OK new one and loads new samples in? Not sure. You could try this technique in Studio Mode, might allow you to keep samples playing while you switch patches... some programming is involved

I had that prob with pads glitching too,
did not investigate but since your post i tryed experimenting a solution.
here it is

SOLUTION:-
On pads patch turn off PFX before you trigger any samples.
That seems to cure it.. :)
Let me know if it works for you too!
