Need Files for Original V-Synth Patches

10 Jun 2012, 10:18
I prefer the original V-Synth patch set over the 2.0 version. I have downloaded v1.5 sets to load into my XT, but upon inspection, I am missing three patches that are pretty bad ass. Using the original Roland patch list and this website http://www.synthmania.com/v-synth.htm as a cross-reference, I am missing the following patches:

086 Junker Pad
210 ConstructBts
280 Kick Bass <---Nevermind; I found this one in my v2.0 patch set. Perhaps a port-over from the original set, but the guys (PauloF?) that created the v1.5 "archive" set overlooked this one and omitted it from the list.

Of course, there may be more that are missing, but these are the only ones I'm interested in at this time.

Can someone that owns the original V-Synth with these patches help me out and send the patch (.p00) and corresponding sample (.w02) files (or .wav, if available). If you can help, then PM me and I will provide my email address. I appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Wow, another V-Synth patch site! Thanks!

Well, after downloading and porting over the patches/waves into my project, I now know the reason perhaps PauloF didn't include them in his v1.5 set--because they sound like crap!

The website's admin/patch set creator does give a disclaimer on how some of the patches sound. Unfortunately, one is waaaaay off from the original and the other just isn't as full and warm like the original.

I find it interesting that through the evolution of the V-Synth, some things ended up getting lost in translation.

Originally this was Cromio´s work.
What I did was only pack them on a three different Projects and yes, some of the patches were left out on purpose, as they sound very badly indeed. ;-)
