Live players! How do you use your Live Sets?

How do you live players organise your Live Sets for gigs? Currently I've just been using Live Mode and making my live sets for each song and then stepping though them with a pedal, I just go to the first set in the song and start from there, but I'm wondering if Favorites may also be useful, as I can recall single and studio mode sounds as well. How do you live players roll? Whats your preferred way to use the FG live?

I keep it all strictly in Live Mode and do as you said, step through one by one with a footswitch. I'll often have multiple Live Sets per song, e.g.

001 Watcher Intro
002 Watcher Verse
003 Watcher Solo
004 Watcher Verse
005 Cigar EP
006 Point Intro
007 Point Verse

etc...

Then, before every gig, I sit down and get re-acquainted with the Fantom Librarian and put all my patches in the right order :)

Hi,

that's also my workflow. Reordering before each gig. But with the Librarian it's a piece of cake. I like the machine!

Almost exactly what I do, but I then arrange them in favourites for short or long gigs etc, then I don't have to keep reorganising the live sets

Yeah I'm wondering about starting to use Favourites a bit more, but I like staying in the one mode headspace wise... still I've made a few setups in studio mode as well, and chucking the odd single mode one in there could be handy.

Keep sharing the tips!

Depending on my gig I set up the G differently. Right now I'm preforming in an orchestra with it for a musical at the local theatre for this because it is the same sequence of patches each night I have the live sets in order and then as you guys said use the foot switch, defiantly easiest way. For other gigs I where it is less structured I have used the favourites because it allows me to be a little more creative. Often times I uses patches and live sets that are not entirely for one song so when playing if I feel an electric piano coming in then one press and i'm there. If preforming this way I usually have a few EP's, a piano, and a couple of strings and synths. You can make each performance unique this way. The one thing great about using favourites is the ability to import a text file. I like having a few performance notes on screen at times to just remind me of key areas. Really when it comes to performing which ever works the best for your situation, thats why I use both.
