Roland JV Chorus as extrenal FX

23 Jan 2012, 13:41

Hi everyone,
I like the quality of the integrated effects, especiall the chorus and EFX of my JV 2080 very much and like to know if someone knows, if these fx are also available (and in the same quality) in an external FX unit.

I'm just curious if maybe a BOSS SE 50 or a SE 70, which came out at this time sounds alike.

Anyone can compare ?

Best regards,
Stephan

Any BOSS chorus/multi FX unit would be an improvement over the JV's chorus.

Hmmm, do your really think ? I got also a Zoom 1204, Ensoniq DP4, Lexicon LXP1 but don't find the chorus on them coming close to the JV's built in ... besides the Rate and Depth it has Pre-Delay and Feedback parameters which are very cool. Also it spreads the chorused sound very nicely in the stereo field, which i didn't find on the other units.
So i was wondering if this is special to Roland/Boss units ...
