How to trigger long sample?

How to trigger long sample?

How do I trigger a long sample without it slowly fading? I've never had to trigger a sample this long to realize that it fades. I have the release set to the max.

Hi wudsiba,

I went through the same thing a while ago. See this thread called "T4 ignore" if you;'re interested.

The three best ways we came up with were:
1) Play the sample on a pad, using the HOLD pad.
2) Play the sample with an RPS phrase that lasts long enough to include the whole sample.
3) Play the sample from a key and use something to weigh the key down to keep it depressed.

Hope this helps!

Cheers

Number three for sure... But what should I rest on the key that will both fit and not fall?

Wedging an unwanted credit card under the keys works ;o)

Another option is to assign the sample to a audio track and trigger it with the sequencer controls or a footswitch.
