JP 8000 version update

I recently bought a JP8000 via ebay and it came with version 1.03.
Can anyone advise what the advantage would be to update to version 1.05.
Particularly, as some users appear to have had problems updating.

No response, so perhaps no-one can remember the reason for the update in the operating system.
What I would hate to do, is carry out the update and then find that I hit problems.

Any one else had any experience installing this update?

Hi there!

I have two Roland JP800 synths with version 1.05. There are no problems to report on my end and both updated without issue. I can't say what the changes are, but usually it has to do with timing and sync oriented stuff. I didn't have problems before and everything seems to work just as well now.
