Removing rackears from the XT ?

Has anyone done this ? I know theres a warning in the OM about doing it but wtf....

I will propably always use it as desktop module anyway and I think the rackears are ugly,
does anyone have the servicemanual for this thing... I guess it will show how to do it....

It's relatively easy.
Just unscrew the Middle Screw on each side (the ones that hold the XT), together with the 2 screws that hold the round pieces (on each side) that allow the rotating mechanism to work properly inside the rotating shafts.

Without those, the XT just comes out of it's "shell".
