I was thinking of you recently and wanted to ask you a couple of questions.
1. Are you still planning on writing that book or are you in the process of doing so as we speak?
2. Did you ever write that indepth tutorial on tone structures? I still like the short version you did that one day at work. If not don’t worry about it. If so I encourage you to post it some how or another.
3. Take care and enjoy your new toys!

Hey FBJ! Long time no back-and-forth.

No, the book project was replaced by a different side project, but unfortunately, I've been so busy at work, I, well, that I wish for the days when I was just "busy."

I'm actually meeting with my side crew at the end of this week. Hopefully I will able to tell you guys all about it soon. It is a music hardware/software tool.

As far as the other tutorial, no I never did that. Sorry. I do owe that one. I think when the FX was announced, I was so bummed about that that I sort of abandoned my FS gung-ho-ness. But, I've mellowed.

My new toys seem awesome. But, I need to get through this one deal I'm on that just will not end and that keeps me at the office until 2am most nights. I'm hoping 2-3 more weeks, but I've hoped that before. We'll see. I don't know how much longer I can live like this. I miss my little girl (who turns 2 in less than a month), and (here's an announcement) we have another on the way (December).

When things settle a bit (work wise - I have a feeling things won't settle at home for another decade or so), I will deliver my promised tone structure tutorial.

I miss you guys. And I miss my FS. I'm turning into a left brained maniac. I must put a stop to it.

Hi Phil! Personally, I wouldn’t worry about this tone structure tutorial if I were you. I figured it would be great to make available if it was done but seeing as it is not done and knowing how very busy you are I don’t want to encourage you to worry about it.
Another project eh? Cool! When do you sleep?
