ARX card promotional

As a new G6 purchaser, I Just received an ARX-01 or 02 promotional discount in exchange for filling out a survey. (Already had a G7).
I was able to purchase the electric piano card for $199 plus shipping directly from Roland. Think this might be a sign of an upcoming ARX price drop. Hopefully not an ARX card drop! Am not holding my breath for a future ARX-B3 any longer! -Tom

I looked at pricing for the ARX cards and most retailers are still around the $449 mark.

I bet this was a US only promotion. Us Brits never get in on the good stuff!!!

what? thats what I got mine for about a year ago....I just hope they release new ARX with this promo so I can get em. Why not give me some back for the ARX-03 since I got it for the $450. Maybe give discount to those who have three for the next ARX.

I received the survey query by e-mail after registering the new G6 with Roland. Would think anyone who purchased a G fairly recently likely received it as well but if not, I wouldn't hesitate to call Roland directly.
Am still not sure this purchase was a good deal as I still suspect Roland is coming out with price break on the cards across the board.

As to the mouse, I love blinking lights!

Received and installed the Electric Piano ARX today.

Firstly, I'm always jazzed about anything I install and not break!
Secondly, the card has some nice features which would be a bear to reproduce with samples such as pickup distance from the tine and tine angle.

Bottom line: to my ears, (what's left of them), the internal G-EPs are VERY close to the ARX. The one ARX sound that is a smidge better is the Wurly.

Only my 2 cents again, but on a scale of 1-10, I give this a 4.5

The EP cards for the X series were markedly better and included a clav as well.

Where the hell is the B3?

Isent the g the only product line gear with super natural arx expansion?
Its been all most 3 years and there are 3 out already with this technology why would roland
cease arx production.
I know its mostly all about sales and whats best for the company.but still they call the g (The flagship workstation)they talk so highly of it http://www.roland.com/synth/Fantom/index.html to get others buying it, im sure there will be more updates and arx cards.
i guess we have to wait and see,if not and as long as new sounds keep coming from sinevibes as well as us making our own sounds, creativity will remain for all of us G owners for years to come.
I dont own any arx cards,im very interested in what they can do.can anyone give me info on any of the 3.
Are they worth 400$?is super natural technology astounding cutting edge badass?
my way of feeling what music is......THOUGH MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT,FEELING MY WAY ACROSS THE PLAIN OF CREATION TILL I FEEL TOTAL Consciousness AND BECOME ONE WITH WHAT IM CREATING.(IF I DECIDE TO STOP AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT.SO BE IT)

Okay,
Was a bit hasty with my earlier crit of the 02 Electric Piano card.
I used it this past weekend and with some on the gig tweaking, it faired pretty well. Getting time to tweak live seems to be the solution for me.
Scale of 1-10: 5.5-6
