Good Keyboard Stand for the G8?

I have the same stand, but from ultimate.
It is certainly not the most stable stand, but for me its acceptable.
The biggest plus points are:
1. it looks very cool
2. it's very fast to set it up and it doesn't take a lot of space
3. it has a pretty much variable height so you can play either standing or sitting.

Hard to say, but I doubt that the ksv7 would be more stable than the ks18z.

I use a Quik Lok Z-726L stand. It is not exactly the most portable stand but it is very sturdy.

It's robust and stable

The Roland V-Stands were made by Ultimate Support, and Ultimate killed them off back in April. I have a V-stand with the secondary tier and I love it...but its metal parts are joined by plastic parts and the plastic breaks. When it does, your stand is worthless, since you can't get replacement parts for it. Ultimate is providing Apex AX-48 stands (which I'm not fond of) as a warranty-replacement product.

I don’t understand which metal parts you’ve found joined by plastics and which plastic parts you’ve found broken, unless you talk about another model. Mine have found many situations and gigs during 2 years. It still stands.

AK-Jake, you're right. For looks, the Ultimate Apex AX-90B rocks! And it can hold a G8. I want one.

All other stands are ironing boards... but perhaps practical.

I'm referring to the V-Stand. Look at the stand: the height-adjuster for the legs is ALL PLASTIC. The cradles that hold the support arms (the actual arms that support the keyboard) are ALL PLASTIC. My stand was 2 years old when it broke...the plastic height-adjustment assembly cracked, and now can't hold any weight or it collapses.

The V-Stand is a GREAT stand, hampered by plastic parts. To clarify, I'm using the Ultimate version...the Roland version may have all metal components and be somewhat different.
