22 Mar 2010, 17:36I don't understand why people here can't deal with someone who makes a critic to Roland. I think that Jimknopf arguments are valid, but I have a different point of view. Other thing I can't understand is why someone even thinks that this guy is from Yamaha if he comments about something with Roland isn't right. I thought that this was one of the uses of this forum.
The Fantom-G is indeed unsupported. After 2 years it still doesn't have any true upgrade as the V-Synth GT does, or even Yamaha Motif XS and Korg M3 has. But still, I enjoy the Fantom-G more than the others. I hope that they continue to produce USEFULL ARX cards!

I don't understand how the economy has caused some musical instruments to go up in price instead of down.
Even the Trumpets I buy have gone up 100% in price in just over 5 years...I do not understand it.
Oh well....I could not live without a 76 key workstation...The 88 key workstation would have to stay at the gig...I am not transporting that puppy!

In no time there will be chinese manufacturers taking over the electronic music scheme with their stupid computers and terrible unartistic keybeds but powerful motherboards and cheap cheap cheap.
To them synths are just computers with a usb keyboard that has black and white keys instead of the qwerty keyboard, kinda like the neko system hardware just 1/4 of the price. You install your software, kinda. Hahaha.

given the economic state, and the way in which unit volume drives costs down Roland should be looking at a $1999/$2399/$2999 price structure for the G series...
