Re: Supernatural Piano ARX Census 2010
20 Mar 2010, 15:02I don't think a card dedicated to piano would be very cost effective for them or the consumer. The piano's on the FG are not that bad. NOT BAD ENOUGH TO MAKE ME PURCHASE A $400-$500 EXPANSION WITH JUST ACOUSTIC PIANO ON IT.
NAW SORRY... just not worth it.
There are a few other things that would be a little more important to me. (I can't even really think of sounds that are just really really lacking on the FG... , maybe the organ card. That would be nice I guess.
(watch someone say a bass guitar ARX... LOL. I guess they could do a guitar card that would allow acoustic guitars, bass guitars, and electric guitars with tons of different effects. that would be a nice addition for the people that use a lot of guitars. If they were going to do pianos I think they should have put them on the expansion with the Electric Pianos. And the orchestral card could have been all in one with the brass. (just a way for them to suck more money from consumers) The drum card is a nice expansion... but I wish that it would offer more parts (than just 1... at least I guess.) They way they have it now, you can only use one kit at a time AND I've heard that making any type of change even if it's just to one sound that is on one key, it forces you to use a user slot (and I'm not sure how many of those there are)
But back to the focal point, no there is no real reason for them to bring out a supernatural piano card.
I did like the piano sample that was so generously given to us by B, but it didn't just blow me away enough to make me keep it saved in my sample memory. At least not for my main project. I may pick it back up later on (as a part of my main church music project... not like I'll need the sample space for much else...)
The pianos on the FG are not that bad though. And don't even mention the pianos on the user/custom download nav site. We have plenty of piano.
