mc909 > mc303 via midi

I searched topics but cant find the answer.
Can anybody help me with connecting mc303 to mc 909 ?
i dont have manuals and dont know how to do it.
I tryied but with no results , i have a midi cabel and both mc`s are connected but i dont know how to setup correctly.When i hit key on 303 i hear the sound from 909;/ I want to sync both machines and play main frrom 909 but some perc with 303 seq.
Could anyone help step-by-step?
