Dear Fantom-S and Fantom-X users,

I am extremely pleased to announce the release of two new Planet sound expansions. This is good news for those who own one of these instruments - even though all of them have been discontinued, you can still refresh your musical palette with latest sounds!

Image

Planet A is made especially for those who seek massive, punchy and warm analog sounds. It features totally clean and unprocessed analog bass, synth, lead and pad sounds, as well as extra loops and effects, all sampled at high resolution. Contents: 337 original samples, 25 multisampled instruments, 30 patches.

Planet R features sounds made with some of the most amazing hardware and software synthesizers available today. Unique synths, bells, basses, pads, atmospheres, hits and chords, vocal, vocoder and choir sounds will fit into any modern music production, from club and urban to ambient and film scoring. Contents: 524 original samples, 47 multisampled instruments, 70 patches.

Both expansions are compatible with Fantom-S/S88, Fantom-X6/7/8, Fantom-Xa and Fantom-XR synthesizers, and require min. 128 MB of sample RAM and storage flash memory.

Planet A and Planet R are immediately available as downloads for $29 and $39, respectively, with a worldwide-shipped CD as an option. They can also be purchased in the Mega Pack bundle with three other Planet titles at big discount. Those who own any of the previous Planets, should e-mail for an upgrade discount.

More information, including audio demos and sound lists is available at the Sinevibes website:

Ok, Im new to these packs. I have a storage card that has my own samples that I have recorded, and I don't really like using much because it's such a hassle to get them timed right to my songs on the mixer.

And I have 2 of the sound expansion cards.

How do these sounds get on to my keyboard for use actually?

MCixteen, there are two types of sound libraries from Sinevibes. One of them is purely patches that make use of the internal possibilities of the Fantoms, they can be loaded as they are from the card or user memory (Planet X and Planet F). Others use samples and require you to have a sample RAM expansion (this is a PC133 DIMM type memory installed in the slot along the SRX cards), and work from the card (Planet V, Planet A and Planet R).

The included manuals have all the installation instructions but in general it's as simple as copying the purchased download into your Fantom via USB.
