EDIROL FA 66 in Windows XP

EDIROL FA 66 in Windows XP

10 Aug 2009, 19:29
I am the proud owner of an Edirol FA 66, and it has always worked perfectly with my iMac computer.

Now I want to use the FA 66 in a Windows XP environment to provide 6 channels of audio, but I am unable to find any reference to appropriate software to achieve this. I want to direct sound from a Flight Sim application to 2 channels of the FA 66, sound from a voice communications client to a further 2 channels, and sound from a further application to the last 2 channels.

Predictably, the FA 66 installs ok but does not appear in the control panel sound hardware window.

Can anyone please advise me on how to use the FA 66 in such a way and which software I need to achieve this

Thanks

Admiral:

Go to Device Manager. Click on "Sound, video and game controllers." It will probably be there, but might need to be enabled.

Once you've done that, you should be able to see it in the Sound Hardware Window. if not, then I have no clue.

Good luck.

Yes we did.

Yes, I've already tried that. Device Manager says that the device is present, enabled and working ok, but it does not work at all.

Hope someone else has a suggestion.
