Fantom XR issues

2) Where can I download the latest Fantom Convertor and its documentation ? rolandsamplers.org has broken links to both.
3) Where can I get the sample tools upgrade fan-xr-up1 ?
I can't seem to find it anywhere.
The reason I need it is that the Fantom X editor 1.53 works poorly when connecting the XR via MIDI to the UM-880, which does have a Vista x64 driver. It keeps bringing up errors when synchronizing data in the middle of transfers when trying to edit performances, such as "It appears that the Fantom-X is unconnected or connected incorrectly". I know the MIDI connection is fine.
I figure maybe the 2.x editor may have worked out these bugs when editing via MIDI , but it requires the updated firmware.
Perhaps the Fantom-X 1.5 editor would work better via a USB connection, but see problem 1) above
