mixdowns and masters SILENT on CD and computer

I just started using the mv-8800 and am right now just using it to record some bass and I've got everything going good, it sounds good in the machine, mixdown sounds good, master sounds good, I master with the master knob all the way up but when I hook up the mv via USB or transfer the file via cd all I get is SILENCE on my computer.

I'm stumped. Any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated.

allright scratch that, the bass IS there just EXTREMELY EXTREMELY quiet. I had to turn it up in final cut pro, export it, turn it up, export it, turn it up, you get the idea and the quality when u do that becomes very noisey. How can I make this sound like it does through my amp in the wav file on my computer?
