I think I know what you are asking. You can only use one multi effect (MFX) at a time. You can use the chorus/delay and the reverb freely.
Yes the routing options for the MFX are Input, Aux1, Aux2, Aux3, Aux4, and Master.
Routing the MFX to Master will assign the effect to everything. Routing the MFX to AUX 1, 2, 3, or 4 will assign that effect to whatever instrument you have assigned to the corresponding Aux.
Input assigns the MFX to the inputs of the MV.
Input is also the best assignment choice when using the analog modeling synths which are located in the MFX. IF you have question about how to use the synth I'm happy to answer them.
There is a way to apply more than one MFX, but it is done with resampling.
Simply solo the Instrument which has the MFX assigned to it.
Go to an audio track, press record and choose resampling. Then hit play. That instrument will record in as an audio track.
I would suggest keeping the MIDI track and just muting it. That can save you a lot of time if you ever need to change anything.
Another option you have is to make the effect 100% Wet and do not mute the midi track. ( Of course this may not be desirable for all instances.) This can come in handy and may be your best option. You can come up with a good mix between the 100% wet audio track and the MIDI track. Once you have developed a mix between the 2 tracks that you like assign them both to any unused AUX. This allows you to keep your mix between the two because you can control them both from one fader.
You are now free to use another one of the MFX because the one that you were using is recorded in on an audio track.
